This painting was sparked by the tragic shooting of United Healthcare’s CEO in December 2024. It forced me to confront how broken the U.S. healthcare system really is—where survival often depends on your bank account. If you’re poor, you die. And yet, we pour the most money into health insurance. The fact that someone resorted to violence to make a point is disturbing. But what’s even more telling is how the shooter was seen by many as a hero. That level of rage says everything.
